Defeating the violence of psychiatry

According to the ‘bible’ of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the ‘Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders’ (the DSM), there are roughly 300 officially certified and distinct ‘mental disorders’. But there are no defining physical tests to diagnose any of them.

(MELBOURNE) The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay appointed official, Sandra Beidas, to coordinate SL investigation on 13 June 2014 to coordinate the probe into war crimes allegations in Sri Lanka. She would “coordinate the investigation team.” This unit would be staffed by 12 members, including two forensic experts, a legal analyst, a gender specialist and investigators. Beidas, a British national, previously worked with the UN mission in South Sudan. In November 2012, she was expelled from the UN mission in South Sudan after authorities there labelled her as ‘persona non grata’. She was removed from the country due to her involvement in a report published in August of that year, which accused the army of torture, rapes, killings and abductions. Sandra, while working for Navi Pillay’s office, was also banned by Somalia in 2011. However, Pillay denied the accusations levelled against her staff member and accused the South Sudanese government of being “in breach of its legal obligations under the UN Charter”.
